Crochet Pattern Design Software suitable for Windows 7, 8 and 10 PC
The HookinCrochet Crochet Graph Designer is used to create crochet graph designs in Single Crochet, Extended Single Crochet, Tunisian Simple Stitch, Filet Style, Bobble Stitch, Corner to Corner (C2C) and Pixel Squares.
The software creates complete written instructions for all graph styles in both right handed and left handed versions.
The software will also create a PDF File of the finished pattern.

The Create Graph Window
The ‘Create Graph’ Window is used to create the graph designs, create written instructions and create a multi-page PDF File of the finished graph design.
The Create Text Image Window
The ‘Create Text Image’ Window is used to create an image for a graph design by adding design features to create a graph design.
The Proportion Calculator Window
The ‘Proportion Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the required number of columns and rows for the different graph styles.
The Project Size Calculator Window
The ‘Project Size Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the approximate size of the finished project based on graph style, yarn weight and hook size.
The Graph Size Calculator Window
The ‘Graph Size Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the number of graph columns and rows required for a Graph based on the desired size of the finished project, graph style, yarn weight and hook size.
The Image Resizer Window
The ‘Image Resizer’ Window is used to resize and scale images and to save a selected area of an image as an image.
The Create Color Legend Window
The ‘Create Color Legend’ Window is used to create a color legend of the graph.
The Create Graph Instructions Window
The ‘Create Graph Instructions’ Window is used to create/edit the written graph instructions.
The Create Graph Window
The ‘Create Graph’ Window is used to create the graph designs, create written instructions and create a multi-page PDF File of the finished graph design.
Graph Design Styles that can be created include Single Crochet Graphs, Extended Single Crochet Graphs, Tunisian Simple Stitch Graphs, Filet Style Graphs, Bobble Stitch Graphs including Solid Bobble Stitch Graphs and Single and Multi Color Bobble Stitch Graphs such as those used for Word Blankets, C2C Graphs and Pixel Square Graphs.
Creating a graph design includes functions such as Add a Graph; Import a Background Image; Auto Pixelate an Image; and Coloring a Graph using the Left and Right Mouse buttons, Reduce Colors and Bucket Fill.
Additional features include Creating Color Palettes, Adding Directional Arrows, Adding Row Numbers, Switching between Right Handed and Left Handed Directional Arrows and Row Numbers, Changing the Grid Color, Adding Text/Annotations and Watermarks and Creating a Finished Effect on the Graph.
The graph can be saved as a .hcgraph file for further editing, saved as an image, saved as a group of images, saved as a PDF File or Printed.
The Create Written Instructions feature enables the creation of written instructions for all graph styles in both Right Handed and Left Handed versions. The written instructions can then be saved as a PDF File or as an RTF (Rich Text Format) File and opened in the ‘Create Graph Instructions’ Window for further editing.
The Create Multi Page PDF File can be used to create a multi page PDF File of the finished graph design and can include an image of the finished project, an image of the finished effect of the graph design, an image of the graph design as a single image and/or divided up into a group of images and an image of the color legend.
There is also a feature to Combine PDF Files which is used to combine the Multi Page PDF File and the PDF File of the written instructions into one PDF File.
The Create Text Image Window
The ‘Create Text Image’ Window is used to create an image for a graph design by adding design features to create a graph design.
First a graph in the desired style and size is added to the Canvas. This graph can then be used to layout the design features added to the graph design.
These design features included adding a background image, adding images on the design, adding lines and shapes and adding text to create a graph design.
All of these added design features can be scaled, rotated and flipped to create graph designs.
The graph design can be saved as a .hcgraphti file for further editing, and saved as an image ready to Import as a Background Image or Auto Pixelate on the graph in the ‘Create Graph’ Window. The saved image does not include the grid lines shown on the Canvas.
The Proportion Calculator Window
The ‘Proportion Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the required number of columns and rows for the different graph styles.
Not all Graph Style stitches or groups of stitches represented by one square on a graph are the same width and height.
Because of this the squares on the graph that represent the stitches are not always an exact square.
The proportion of the squares on the graph represents the proportion of the stitch or group of stitches used in the Graph Style.
As a result a graph design that is an exact square when finished will not always necessarily have the same number of columns and rows.
The Proportion Calculator can be used to calculate the required number of columns and rows for the different graph styles.
The Project Size Calculator Window
The ‘Project Size Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the approximate size of the finished project based on graph style, yarn weight and hook size.
The Graph Size Calculator Window
The ‘Graph Size Calculator’ Window is used to calculate the number of graph columns and rows required for a Graph based on the desired size of the finished project, graph style, yarn weight and hook size.
The Image Resizer Window
The ‘Image Resizer’ Window is used to resize and scale images and to save a selected area of an image as an image.
Images can be scaled or resized using either a width measurement or a percentage amount.
The scaled or resized image can then be saved as a .jpg, .png or .gif image.
An area of an image can also be selected and cropped and saved as a .jpg, .png or .gif image.
The Create Color Legend Window
The ‘Create Color Legend’ Window is used to create a color legend of the graph.
There are several different formats that can be used to include any or all of the following details - Color Number, Color Swatch, Color Name and Color Count.
The Color Legend can then be saved as an image to add to the ‘Multi-Page PDF’ of the finished graph design.
The Create Graph Instructions Window
The ‘Create Graph Instructions’ Window is used to create/edit the written graph instructions.
